Yesterday Stan, Sierra, Karly Osborne, and I went to American Idol. We took the whole day off and arrived at CBS Studios around noon. We thought we'd have to wait in line for hours but we got invited to be in the studio audience for the pre-idol show..."Idol Tonight". So we went in early. Sierra and Karly got to be in the front row of the audience with all the other cute, young girls, while Stan and I stood several rows back.After taping that show, we hung around for awhile and then went into the American Idol studio. The stage was a lot smaller than it looks on tv. Sierra and Karly were asked to go stand in the pit while Stan and I sat in the bleachers. Again cute, young, hip girls in the front and everyone else in the back. Actually I liked it that way... we got to sit while they stood the entire time and we were right behind all the families of the contestants, so it was really fun to hear them talk about the final "13" and see their reactions during the evening. You can see Stan and I in the background when they show Kris's family after he was pronounced safe. We saw several past seasons' contestants and Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson performed. It was an awesome night to go! So far my favorites are...Danny and Adam!!
The saddest part of the whole day is we couldn't take a camera or cell phone in the studio, so we left our camera in the car. But this is Sierra & Karly in the parking garage just before we got in line. They were so excited!

The judges..Simon got the most applause coming in and Paula had the most bodyguards (3). Karly shook Randy and Simon's hand after the show.

Taylor Hicks, Amanda Overmyer, and Phil Stacy were guests on Idol Tonight and Sierra stood right next to each of them while they were waiting to be interviewed.
Afterwards, we went to the most beautiful mall I've ever seen, The Grove. We were starving, so we ate at the Cheesecake Factory, before heading home. It was pretty late and the girls had seminary the next morning.
Yes, those are the "golden tickets".

Daniel and I watched a little bit of the show, but we didn't see you guys on it. I'm glad you had such a good time though!

That is so very cool! I am dying to go, when did you sign up for the tickets - last season? Sounds like the funnest day, I bet the girls will never forget that fun day!

We watched part of the show but our TV in the hotel room was so small that we really couldn't see people clearly. What a neat experience! Glad you got to go.
I still have the episode saved and will keep it saved. We saw you -- didn't see Stan or Sierra. When you come, you'll have to show us where you are.
