Water Polo Banquet

Girls water polo season is officially over! No more games and the banquet is over. Of course Sierra is still in the pool everyday, because now it is swim season and the girls are strongly encouraged to participate so they can become faster and stronger swimmers. At the banquet, Sierra received the "Pack Desire" Award from the coaches. Her coach described it as an award for..."significant contributions to the team's goals; a love for the sport, outstanding work ethic, hustle, determination, and persistance." I thought this was perfect for her, considering this story she told me earlier in the season... The girls swim a lot of laps and Sierra was thinking she was the SLOWEST swimmer by far. No matter how hard she pushed herself, she was always quite a few laps behind everyone else. After about a month, she figured out everyone else was cheating and swimming less laps (when you swim 20 - 50 laps in a row that would be easy to do). She was so relieved!! We had a few laughs about it.

That is the weirdest name for an award, but it sounds like quite the honor. Way to go Sierra!

That story makes me laugh. I remember cheating on a few of my laps in track... Way to go Sierra for not cheating!!! She looks beautiful!

Sierra, you are wonderful. How like you to never cheat but endeavor to work hard to catch up to where you thought the other girls were. Congradulations on your award.
