We tend to get stuck doing the same thing every weekend..chores, yardwork, movies, shopping, beach, and so on. It gets kind of boring after awhile so this past weekend we went down to San Diego. It was Fleet Week down by the bay so we spent a couple of hours touring the USS Freedom and seeing the Firescout. The Firescout is an UAV helicopter that Stan has been working with for years as part of his job at Northrup Gruman.

The girls wanted to go to a museum, so we toured the Mormon Battalion Center. It's been so long since we've been there, Callie & Sierra didn't remember it at all, plus it was majorly remodeled not long ago. We were so impressed with it. We loved the creativity of the tour and the stories that were told. We are now honorary members of the Mormon Battalion as you can tell from the picture below.
We need to spend more weekends building memories. I've just decided it's up to me to plan them and push everyone out the door or we won't do it.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I was just thinking the other day, that as many times as we have been near San Diego, we really haven't seen much of that city.
We tend to do the same things on our weekends too. Cleaning, laundry, shopping, movies, go on walks, etc. So I've been thinking that we need to find more things to do as well. :)
The photos are awesome. I'll be going for a fall walk to enjoy nature too!
