Christmas Vacation in Utah

The day after Christmas, we packed the car up and drove to Utah. The car was so full with luggage and Christmas presents, blankets, sleds and who knows what else, that there was barely room for people, especially for that one person in the back seat, meaning Callie or Sierra. I love road trips with the kids. We always listen to good music (when it's just me and the girls we sing along loudly) and a book on CD. And when we go to Utah we usually stop in St. George at Cafe Rio. Since Seth doesn't like Cafe Rio, I had to promise that he got to choose the next restaurant. At one point during the drive it was -3 degrees. That is so cold!

We stayed with my sister, Cheryl, and her family in Farmington and Courtney & Daniel came up and stayed there too. We had a belated Christmas with them all. I love spending time with family!! There are always late nights, good food, and fun activities. Oh, and there is always some scrapbooking project I rope my sister into helping me with. This time I got my whole family involved with a project for Relief Society.Friends of mine have made cute "happy birthday" banners for themselves and their children, so I decided to make some for me and my kids too. It really was easy and fun to make. I gave Courtney hers while we were there and when the others get married they can have theirs.
There was lots of snow stuff to do...snowball fights, snow caves, sledding. And Stan would go out and shovel the driveway and sidewalk several times a day. Every once in awhile Stan would disappear and he would either be shoveling snow or sleeping.

These are my cute nieces who always have lots of hugs for me...Addie & Cambrie
Callie is using a sled as a shield from the snowballs flying at her.
Oh my gosh...that beanie is ugly.
I think this is about Ben being "king of the hill"
My sister, Cheryl, took these pictures with her new camera. Look how cool this one ride was for Daniel and Sierra...
#2 Coming up on a small ramp..
#3 Going over the ramp
#4 Daniel is starting to fly..
#5 Now falling...
#6 hitting the ground...
#7 and down.
Sierra said this slope was really bumpy and she could feel each bump.

Callie and Brayden (her cousin) are inseparable, even though he's 9 and she's 12.
I don't know why Callie has this expression but I love it!

I am so glad you came! It gives me an excuse to work little and play hard! As for roping me into another project... yes but it's not hard to convince me. I don't think of it as work, when I think of all our "projects", I think of late nights, laughing, popcorn, and midnight Chevron runs. Good times! Stan cracked me up with all his shoveling and de-icing. I've never seen my sidewalks so bare this whole winter!

You really seemed to have fun in the snow. Is that a holdover from your college days? If so, why are you living in California? I know, the beach.

I really enjoyed the pictures

I love all the pictures. You and Cheryl with your families always have so much fun when you get together. Wish I could have been there.
