For the past five years I have been going to water polo games...all through the summer, fall & winter. I don't know why, but the girls season is during the winter. And even though we live in southern California, we do have some cold moments and rain. So the girls games happen in sun, rain, wind and cold. The only thing that prevents a game or practice is thunder and lightening (and maybe a contaminated pool..yuck). Both of our water polo players (Seth & Sierra) have said it's really fun to swim in the rain. I guess that is the ultimate "playing in the rain". I always enjoyed watching the boys play; they were fast and strong. But this season I've really enjoyed watching the girls; they talk a lot more while they play and they are tough.
I finally took my camera to the game against Chaparral today and got some pictures.

These girls were such good sports to pose for this picture.
They had just gotten out of the pool, so they were wet and cold, but I love their willingness. They have such beautiful smiles!
(FYI..Sierra is in the back row, third from the right)

Those are fun pictures! They turned out really great. I think it's awesome how you can see the water droplets. :)
I love those pictures of our sweet Sierra. You were really able to catch her in super poses in the water.
Maria, you are taking some great pictures lately. The one of Sierra in the water shows "her". It looks so typical of Sierra, and the contrast with the water is fantastic.
Keep up the good works!
I knew where Sierra was - she is her own person and stands out from the rest. Congrats on Sierra and her water polo.
