Sharing a Birthday

My mom and I share the same birthday. I think I would hate it if I was the mom, but I was the daughter in this case so I got all the attention when I was a child. We always recognized my mom's birthday, but I didn't like sharing my day (I know..I was a bratty kid). I thought February 21st was all about me. And being the good mom she was, my mom always did make it about me. She made my birthdays special and never complained. Now we haven't lived in the same house for almost 23 years, and I LOVE sharing a birthday with my mom. I love being with her and celebrating together. It's funny how things change as we get older and experience more of life.

I do have to say that mom is the most selfless person I know... I wish more would have rubbed off on me. Oh and more of her patience too... :) Wish I could have been there for your birthday! One day when I am rich I am totally spoiling you! Heads up... that maybe when your 80!

Hey, the "comment deleted" is mine. I mispelled a word and tried to fix it. Oh well, try again.
Eightieth birthday! Wow, those are long term plans Cheryl is making. I wish I could be there with the two of you on that special day but somehow I don't think I will be able to. In any case, I'm sure I will be close by and loving you two girls probably even more than I do now. Thanks all the nice comments! Love you forever and always.

Aw Grandma... you can totally make at LEAST 105. Have a little faith. ;)

I always was a little jealous that you got to share your birthday with Mom. I always thought it would be neat to have a kid on my birthday - didn't happen :( By the way, I LOVE the candles on the cake.
